ABSENT:  British American, and Eastside

Old Business:

1.        League fee was established at August 22, 2013 meeting.  The fee will remain at $150 per team payable to the QCPL NOW.  Checks to be sent to Ray Paquin c/o Davignon Club.  Invoices distributed; please give to your respective clubs for their records.  Some teams have already paid.

2.        Choose site for Singles.  Alpine and Workman’s are both eligible both have expressed interest. Vote was taken Alpine awarded Singles.  Eastside being the club with the longest time since hosting a tournament was promised a tournament (probably doubles) at meeting during 2012-2013 season.

3.        It was discussed having players to pay $2 each week to be added to the treasury towards a banquet, hall of fame inductees, cash prizes.  A couple of the teams were under the impression that some of this money would also go to the 1-3 places teams for prize money which was why they did not want to participate.  After considerable discussion it was tabled until a future meeting.

New Business:

1.        If an A or B player is added to a roster during the first four weeks of play the captain of that team MUST call Sue Davis prior to play.  She will then contact the executive board (president, vice president and treasurer) and they will make a decision of whether the handicap for the team will be lowered on that night.  This will on be during the first four weeks of each half only as the handicaps will be finalized after the fourth week of play.

2.        Repeal rule to limit captain/co-captain to three assistances. – approved

3.        Implement rule that if a team has three bonus adjusted scores of greater than 30 in a half they will automatically drop handicap by 3 points for the subsequent weeks of play.  This rule of three adjusted scores in excess of 30 points in a half will restart after the adjustment.  Implemented.

4.        Sue requested that all team captains call in scores and six pocket runs on Friday night. This will help alleviate the problem with not getting a score and delaying the posting of the results.   Remember it is the raw score that is called in. – Approved.

5.        Handicaps were adjusted.  New bonus points sheet will be posted on the web site.

Next Meeting:   Deerhead on December 17th at 7 PM to set initial rosters for the second half of league play.  Discuss any issues that have arisen during the season.
