The meeting began at 7:00 pm. The following items were discussed
1.
Handicap – no change in the handicaps.
2.
Hall of Fame –Three of four of the criteria must be
met in order to be considered for the Hall of Fame. Those criteria are: Outstanding contribution leading to
enhancement of the league, Twenty years membership in the league, Captain of a
team or a league officer for five or more years, and three or more tournament
wins (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in the singles or
doubles tournament competition.
3.
Banquet dues for first half – All banquet dues
will be due by December 30, 2014. This
is payable to Ray Paquin at the Davignon Club.
It can be dropped off, periodically or in one lump sum, at the Davignon
in an envelope that states Banquet dues and the team name. It can also be brought to the next meeting at
the end of the first half. This will be
$130 per team unless the team makes the playoff and then it will be an
additional $10 each week in the playoffs.
This money will only be used for the banquet.
4.
Prize fund for 1st and 2nd
place
– The league will have a total of $2800 plus balance in account. It was agreed upon to spend $1200 for first
place and $600 for second place. The
remaining prize distribution will be discussed at the next meeting with the
knowledge that a small amount will be left in the account at the end of the
season.
5.
Hall for Banquet Needed - Could team
captains of clubs with halls/outdoor space ask their club what the cost would
be to rent their facilities for the league banquet and get dates the
hall/outdoor space would be available in May/June. I’m thinking we are looking at Cercle,
Alpine, Workman’s and Deerhead. If
anyone else knows of a facility that would hold everyone for the banquet at a
reasonable cost please let me know; the banquet fund will only have about $3900
for the banquet and the hall.
6.
Next
meeting will be December 30, 2014 with location to be determined.
