If anyone was forgotten at the meeting, please let me know.

The meeting began at 7:00 pm.  Nine teams present (enough to vote on changes).  The following items were discussed

1.      Handicap for British – It has been questioned whether the British handicap is too high at a 12.  They have played better than the other 12 handicap teams this half, having won 7 matches.  The other 12-handicap teams have won a total of 5 games combined.  MAC pointed out that the British has only 3 scores lower than 25 but have not had a 30 score this half; while the Fish, which is a 9-handicap, has only had 3 scores over 25.  Mike Neveu noted that they are also a 12 team and they had to forfeit their last two games to the British which gave them their “lop-sided” win.  After considerable discussion it was voted that the British handicap should drop to a 10.

2.       Banquet – Ray Paquin brought in a catering proposal from Mark Zombec.  The cost would be $12/person to have him cater the banquet.

It was voted to charge players and guests $10 for banquet tickets in order to get a head count.  The player’s ticket will be refunded at the door.  The guest’s ticket will not be refundable.  Tickets will be needed to attend the banquet. Unsold tickets and money will need to be turned in for head count.

Sue Davis will make up tickets.  Player tickets will say player and guest ticket will say guest.

Tom LeBlanc will get quotes for DJ and/or Karaoke.

Cercle, Alpine and Deerhead have all showed interest in hosting banquet.  Vote on location to be at next meeting.

3.       League Funds – The league currently has a balance of $4815.  The paperwork provided looks as though one team is still delinquent, Ray Paquin will get clarification from Bob DiSimmone.  Banquet dues collected so far is $1520.

Banquet 26 wks x $10/wk x 14 teams = $3640.

First half playoffs $80 + $40 + $20 = $140 (voted to discontinue in 2nd half)

total of $3780

Banquet dues outstanding is $2260

4.      Next meeting will be the week of April 21, 2015 at the Deerhead at 7 PM.

Agenda for the next meeting:

1.      Discuss banquet – final decisions

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.

Respectfully,

Sue Davis
